Hi, I’m Amanda

I am an author, teacher, engaging speaker, and passionate student of the Word of God. Born into a pastor’s family in Detroit, Michigan, I began serving in the local church in my youth volunteering in various departments at Bethesda Missionary Temple (later named Bethesda Christian Church) - a Spirit-filled church founded by my grandmother, M.D. Beall in 1934. In addition to teaching, speaking, and leading in nearly every area of the church, I served as Financial Secretary of Bethesda from 1993 to 1999.

In 2012 my husband and I moved our family to Houston, Texas. Since then I have continued to serve in the local church. I have authored and taught several Bible study series, been the keynote speaker at women’s conferences, a guest speaker, and have served on the Board of Elders of my home church.

I have a Master of Arts degree from Wayne State University with an emphasis in Speech Communication Education. My husband Mike and I have four children, and we now reside in Katy, Texas.

Let’s talk.

Actually, I’ll do the talking if you invite me to speak at your church or event. I’ll bring a unique combination of a deep regard and love for God’s Word combined with fresh insights and clear communication.

Statement of Faith

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one true God, evidenced in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that He was born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life. We believe in His ministry and miracles, and that His death is the once and for all atonement for sin. We believe in His bodily resurrection, that He ascended and is now seated at the right hand of the Father, and in His imminent return for His Church.

We believe that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, and that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is available to believers to regenerate hearts and minds and enable us to live a Godly life.

We believe in the blessed hope of the resurrection for those who have died in Christ, and that those who did not believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord are lost unto eternal separation from God.

We believe that Jesus is coming again for His Church and calls us to work toward spiritual unity to fulfill the Great Commission.

We believe that just as Jesus operated in compassion during His ministry on the earth, the Church must show compassion to lost and suffering people in a manner that represents the love of Jesus Christ.
